We're more than just planners — we're a passionate team dedicated to both weddings and the beauty of marriage. Together, we bring unmatched energy, experience, and heart to every celebration.
While packages have been a challenge to define, we’ve recently streamlined our offerings and now exclusively provide Full Design & Planning services. We no longer offer “Month-of Coordination” — because your big day deserves more than just last-minute help.

Making memories & making things are basically what we are about... husband + wife duo, we, The Self's have slowly yet carefully curated an event + design + wood working company to serve the wedding area & beyond. With Saji's experience in the designing + building industry + project management & my tenured experience in the Design world, starting a business together was almost a no brainer.
After planning our own wedding, going through all the meetings, budget insanity, the tears (yes, there were tears) & literally a DID IT OUR SELF wedding we feel like we just get it, and if you get us, we would love to work with you!

Meet Veena & Saji – The Heart Behind RETRO
Veena Saji’s love for weddings began in childhood, but after her own didn’t go as planned, she was inspired to help others avoid the same stress. With a passion for design, detail, and meaningful celebrations, she launched RETRO Weddings in October 2010, blending vintage charm with modern flair.
By her side is her husband, Saji — her partner in life and business. Known as “the muscle” of RETRO, he brings coordination skills, precision, and perfect timing to every event. Outside of weddings, he enjoys exploring mentalism and magic, watching quirky shows, and spending healing time with his family.
Together, Veena and Saji make a dedicated duo, turning love stories into unforgettable wedding experiences — all while raising their son, Badrinath, and living a life filled with creativity, adventure, and joy.
